This aint good....

So what does it feel like to be twenty-one years old? Well the first morning Im really achy and have a headache, not a good way to start adulthood! Its wierd to think that know I am held totally accountable for anything I ever do, I better put one my smart cap! But today I think Im going to buy a hammock, a little african gift! Well this morning was a really neat experience, we have a member, agian, who has to do some surgery, little Fortuné again cause the first time they didnt completely remove the infection, I dont agree with the doctors here, I going to come back a create my own hospital, but anyways we were going to give him a blessing, but he was being really fussy so we took him outside on a walk and found a bench under my favorite african tree, the flowers are so beautiful, I told Elder Howard that when I become a God, I am going to create the same flowers!!! Anyways, it was quiet and peaceful and lots of people walking around, and it was a sacred moment, just thinking what everyone else around was thinking, why are these yovos laying there hands on this kid? I dunno afterwards, after the prayer there where a couple of people just standing around watching. I felt very humbled, especially thinking about the scripture in james 5 talking that the Elders of Israel laying hands to heal the sick. Here people witnessed this event! Elders in Israel with the same authority and power as Jesus Christ exercising it today!!! If only others understood what this meant!!!! Really!? I felt very very remericed for having this hold calling and holding a this sacred responsibility! I really wanted to shout ''hurrah hurrah for Israel!'' I am an Elder in Israel!! I dunno just a good feeling of peace! This week has been crazy, one elder went home, just one day he was gone, during mothers day another elder went home cause of medical problems so we are pretty short handed now, but good news that one of my friends from BYU is coming here, same mission French Speaking! It would be funny if I trained him, but he entered the mtc this wednesday and will be here by mid-juin. Not to far away! Zone conference is tomorrow, oh the yovo teaching thing was totally wierd to do! Cause we went there and she is a volunteer at a orphange, so the people they were saying at were ridiculous rich, I felt like I was in an American home, even nicer than mine! But she was from spokane washington and she was lutheran. We taught here about the first lesson and book of mormon, but I dont think she was that poen cause she has a wierd philisophy, like a lot of people today, she said, and I  quote her '' well I believe that no body is right, but also no body is wrong'' its a vey common problem. Whats funny that its only with the gospel that people say this, you will never find someone saying that about a bank! Its only the gospel, only conerning things of eternal importance that satan puts of the wall of ''acceptance.'' Dirty trick there. But how grateful that this is really the true gospel with a prophet and apostles that talk and walk with Christ and that He really guides this church! There are Elders in Israel again! I love when people start realize that and then they get their answer to their prayers!!!! Life is so awesome! I got my b-day package from you mom! Thank you soo much! I really enjoyed the pictures especially the one with Dad and Doug and Scout in the pool! haha! anyways thank you so much and I have none else to say expect I love you sooo much and remember who you are!!!

A humbled Elder In Israel,
Elder Lee

Elder Luebke

It's good to hear from another Texan! :P Uh yeah... I'm up in a little college
town called Canyon, I don't know if you've ever heard of it. WTAM is up here in
this city. So were up North, and so the weather is just like  Utah. Dry, and
HOT! Were supposed to reach 98 today.
I've found that the people of Texas are extremely friendly (for the most part),
although we have run into a few not so friendly people. It's just sad to see how
firm a hold Satan has upon these peoples hearts. They want to follow Christ, but
they are unwilling to change, or don't like the truth when they hear it ect...
I'm sure Dan has told you something Close to it. Anyway hope all is going well
for you in college station.

Love,

Elder Luebke

The Lion King, part 2‏

Another week has ground its way by... it was a tough week. period. wow! it seemed like anything we tried to do, was resisted by satanic opposition. anything and everything! someone along the road called us les enfants de joseph smith, or the children of joe smith!  I have heard some weird stuff, but that was diffrently wierd!Companion is doesnt like to talk, unless its about home and movies, he going into the film business, and I know absolutley nothing about it! Really weary feeling, never seem to catch a break, but 64 says dont be weary in well doing!   I got a suprise package this week! Grandma Lee likes to do stuff like that!!!! And the stuff she sends the best choses in the world! Jerky, soy sauce, hot sauce packets and all sorts of interesting cool stuff! and taco seasoning! us elders at least ate good yesterday, making some african taco bell fajtas! someone mentioned that ZOne conference was next week already, which means the last time I will see President Dil, he is really a man of God! I love and respect him soo much! Investigators are progressing, we had only 8 and church, there should of been 16, but it rained, and africans and their rain, grr! Steven, and 11 year old kid received an answer to his prayers this week, I think that is my favorite part of missionary work, when investigators receive that witness and then the try to explian how they know!!! I love it, just hope that Ernestine can receive one now! Oh! The wierdest thing happened this week, we got a refferal from a member for a yovo!!!! a yovo! Im sacred of yovos! So we called this person thinking she was some weird french yovo, but when I called it was some girl speaking this crazy valley girl english! Turns out she is a volunteer, 23, at some orpanage for the summer, one of the wierdest experiences of my life, cause it wasnt at all what I expected! It was just like calling up some friend at home, nothing close to that have I experienced for over a year! But she is from DC and interested, it will be very interesting, I dont know how to teach white people, especially american! So next email I relate my adventure with this white pale monkey! Well anyways dont want to bore you are with my life in Africa, except I bought a crocodile skin wallet last monday! Im still looking for a good hammock, hopefully today! anyways love you all and hope you are being obedient so that God CAN bless you! Remeber who you are!

Wierd Wierd Wierd Wierd Feelings

Well,  we kind of got to talk to Dan last night.  After about 30 minutes, the phone went dead and we weren't able to make another connection.  We tried and tried, but just couldn't.  After reading this I feel badly for him.  But it was good to at least hear his voice and know that he is still doing well.  Remember that his birthday is coming up and that a word from you would be nice.

Hope you all had a happy mother's day!

Love You!
Becky

So yeah I dunno what happened last nite, Elder Stucki hasnt talked to his mom more than 10 minutes yet, I think she is going to call him again. And our conversation was cut pretty short. I sat around waiting but got tired and feel asleep on the floor on the balcony until 10h00 and then put myself to bed, hoping that I would awake to the sounds of Apprends-moi à marcher dans la clarté, but it never happened so I awoke a 5h30 this morning having a wierd feeling, kinda like a dream that I talked for a little bit with my family! Then we went and played football. That feeling hasnt left yet, so this week, what has happened, it rained! I like the rain cause it cools everything off, and its nice! This week we tried to find more new people, did a lot of contacting inbetween rendez-vous and while we were walking. Hopefully the people we meet will actually hold thei rengagements. I am reading a really interesting book, the miracle of forgiveness, man the first part really humbles you, you realize how big a sinner we really are, espcially the sins of omission. But now it deepens my testimony and hope in the atonement, I can see now why daily sincere repentance is  si important, a little saying that sme mysterious person always tells me, do good and become better! It is really through sincere repentance, sacrament, and our fruits of our efforts that we can really become holy before god. MY witness that these things are true, and as always God has a clever trick up his sleeve cause for calling I have in this branche has english teacher I got to teach mosiah 4 about repentance! His plan is a good one, He knows how to prepare others to helps others! anyways i dunno what else to say but I want to direct one comment at my mom cause yesterday I didnt get the chance to say.... I LOVE YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time, ill be there to celebrate mothers day with you!!! Anyways it true, I know it. Love you all and remember who you are!!

Love

Rolling Rolling Rolling...

Wow doesnt time fly! I dunno if I am ready to talk to you guys already! What has changed.. Well last monday, another investigator I taught and baptised came from Benin to visit us, it was really good to see him! He is now getting his own papers ready to go on a mission! He is really something! It was really neat to see him! The fruits of the spirit and the work are the most rewarding things i have ever tasted! Basile and Ernestine are progressing well, its really hard for her to leave her chruch cause she has a high postion and everything, but she has the desire to know the truth and she will be accorded according to that! Taught some really interesting lessons this week, taught actually a very series of lessons on sexual purity. It was really good. Picked up some new investigators this week, had a lot of references so we will be busy! Honestly, I dunno how to describe this week, its been very up and down, some people keekping engagements and others not even thinking. But thats life! I have started to read the miracle of forgiveness in french, interesting book, he really nails down a lot of sins, some I have used in lessons. well I dont want to write to much cause this sunday is a BIG day! So i will tell one story that was really funny, well we live on the second story and some kids were asking for candy, they had like 12,15 years. And we didnt have anything except some avacados, when I told them that they wanted them, so I took two and threw them down to them, the kids couldnt catch them softly enough, so the blocked it with their hands and it exploded all over them. They thought it was really funny, and so did I! They wanted another one so I tossed to other, same result! I love to kids here, they are ridiculously funny!!! anyways thats all for this week and remember who you are! I love you guys!
